You make me search my mind,

The depths of my soul,

Dig in the garden where my memories flourish.

You make me pour out my heart,

Share my secrets, my treasures.

You make me forget all the things I've ever been told-

Slip a little.

You make me toy with ideas in my mind,

Smile for no reason,

Giggle even.

I think about you all the time.

Sometimes I wish to mesh specific selections of my poetry into one;

A big colorful quilt,

Warmth and comfort like the sun.

I laugh because of you,

The bleakness isn't as grey because of you.

You've become my crutch,

My inhaler,

My interest

It's been captured yet I don't care,

I'd like to believe you'll always be here.

I adore you, the earthquake in my thoughts

That then changes into a hurricane

But I know you'll help restore them

Into newer better ones.

You make me shake my head in disbelief,

Things are just that good.

This glow on my face,

This peace in my life,

Because of you I'm just so happy.
