Wanting You Back

When there is something you want so much,

Like to feel the gentleness of his touch.

What can you do when your so unsure?

If that gentle touch can be,.. for you pure.

You gave up what was a hurt in your heart,

And found it hurt more to be apart.

I have tried to find that gentle touch elsewhere,

But always return to the memory here.

The many nights I have cried from the pain,

The pain of a broken heart, but from you I can't refrain.

To hold you would do my heart such good.

I would give so much if only I could.

But, you set at home maybe alone,

I am here constantly touching the phone.

I dial your number, maybe five or six times.

But, I never let it ring, I just put the feelings in another of these rhymes.

The radio it plays out my heart with a song.

Of wanting you back, could I be wrong.

I have asked myself that so often, I wonder why?

When I want so much to cry.
