Google adwords will change a tiny little fish bowl business into a huge big ocean business if it's used correctly.
The most important first steps in setting up online ads are often overlooked. Create an excellent landing page that will keep customers interest and make them buy the product. It doesn't matter how many leads are created, without conversions, it will be a waste of money.
If a good landing page was created, traffic should be directed to it. Adwords are cheap and useful way to generate targeted traffic to a site.
Adwords ads work as follows: An advertiser set up online ads and choose keywords that goes with it. The keywords are priced according to its popularity. Keywords that are used for more adverts are more expensive. The advertiser also decides how much money he is willing to spend on advertisement. The adwords ad are then up and running.
When a web user types the same keywords that the advertiser chose into the Google search bar, the advertiser's ad are displayed on the right hand side of the results page.
The advertiser does not pay for having his Google ads displayed, payment is only due when a potential customer click on the advert and is transported to the advertiser's landing page.
This method helps driving targeted traffic to websites. Targeted traffic have better conversion rates than untargeted traffic. This is why Adwords is such a popular choice. It creates leads that generate sales.
To start using Google Adwords is easy:
1) Open a Google Adwords account Go to Google, click on Advertising Programs and follow the instructions.
2) Set up your advert and choose keywords. Google does have tool that can help select keywords. Keywords should be closely related to the products being advertised to ensure targeted traffic.
3) Create different online ads for different landing pages. If a business are selling knifes and forks, an advert should be created for knifes. The ad should lead to a landing page that offer knifes for sale and the keywords should be related to knifes. If an ad is created advertising knifes, but it goes to a landing page selling forks, users are likely to become confused and lose interest.
Google Adwords is an excellent marketing tool for any business. The only secrets there is too it, is to create good landing pages, to use targeted keywords and make adverts stand out from the crowd.
The correct use of Adwords ads will turn a business around and change it into a profit generating mega machine.
