If you have small breasts, no doubt you have been consoled with the fact that most fashions are made to suit this figure type. However, ever since stars like Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra joined the cast of Baywatch large breasts have been coveted as desirable.

It is perfectly natural to feel a little less then endowed with the media's fascination with big chests. However, there's no need to despair and rush out to find a plastic surgeon. You can make the most of your chest size by dressing in ways that will enhance it.

Tops tips to make the most of a small chest:

1. Wear a flattering bra:

Your bra can drastically change your external appearance. If you are wearing a fitted top, there are contoured and padded bra's which can make you look a full size bigger then you are. Many bras also possess pockets where you can add silicone inserts and easily double your size. These bras and inserts can also give you that round appearance that is frequently popular. If you want to create cleavage in a low cut top choose a push up bra with graduated padding and if desired add silicone inserts to the bottom half. Corsets are also excellent for lifting everything you have up high, just look at what they have donw with Keira Knightley in historical movies.

2. Add some interest

With some clever details you can make it look like much more is going on in the chest area. Ruffles, gathering, pockets and wide collars all create fullness in the chest area. Horizontal seams can also add the appearance of width.

3. Accessorize to benefit your chest size

Select accessories which add extra volume to the chest area. For example, feature necklaces that end at chest height and knotted scarves which end mid chest level can both work well. Also select a handbag which tucks up under the arm to create volume in this region.

4. Go crazy for colors and prints

White, pastels and bright colors can all play up a small chest. Shiny fabrics also tend to create width. When it comes to prints the busier the better in the chest region. Horizontal stripes are perfect for adding width.

Avoid:

-Stretch boob tubes which only highlight your smallness

-Deep v necklines which will show up a bony chest

-Vertical stripes which elongate, rather then widen

-Dark tops which will slim down the appearance of your chest

Remember that you have far less to worry about when it comes to back ache and sagging!
