Out of any gaming system currently on the market, the Play Station has some of the best RPG (role-playing games) titles you can find. The biggest one is also one of the oldest. I of course mean the Final Fantasy series. Yes, I know, it started on Nintendo, but Play Station has taken it to a whole other level. Each new Final Fantasy game pushes the Play Station's graphics another notch further. The Final Fantasy is also well known for it's complex storyline. Another such series is Dragon Quest. Like Final Fantasy, it has a well-written story that will keep you playing. This is shown by it's newest edition, Dragon Quest VIII. Although the graphics are more cartooned, The game play and story make this an excellent RPG. Drakengard is another beautiful game for the Play Station. Although this would probably be considered more an action game than an RPG, the storyline is just as intriguing as Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. There are two parts to this series, that I know of. This is a very challenging game, but anyone with enough patience to do hours upon hours of training will be well rewarded with a highly interesting story. Hacking your way through literally hundreds of enemies can also be a great stress-reliever. Overall, I suppose that what I am trying to say here is that all an RPG needs for me to consider it good is an interesting storyline and so far the Play Station is the only system to meet my needs in abundance.
