Poetry: Wasted time

There are two of you in which I will waste time no more

I want the feeling of heaven close to me at my front door

I have reached far and gotten close

But neither one of you love me enough or most

I think both of you need to be kicked to the curb

Kind of like I'd never try weed the herb

I tried hard with both of you

I tired but didn't fail

It was both of you that decided to bail

For whatever reason it wasn't meant to be

Back to the drawing board I guess

With another desperate heart felt plea

Better yet the image I want is etched in the fibers of my heart

So from here on out I won't trip on us having to part

No more wasted time living on a dream

No more wasted time falling apart at the seams

From here on out I will cast out all doubt

So wasting time is a thing of the past

I will be brazen and graceful and set my sights on love that lasts
