Carlos Tevez is an Argentinean professional football striker that currently plays for Manchester United in the English Premier League. Described as the "Argentine prophet for the 21st century" by Diego Maradonna, Tevez has been with Manchester United since summer 2007; the rights to the player however are still owned by M.S.I., the group that runs Brazilian football club Corinthians.

Starting out his career in the All Boys youth team, Tevez joined Boca Juniors in 1997, and signed professional terms with the club in 2001 at the age of sixteen. He remained with Boca Juniors until 2004, scoring twenty six goals in seventy five league appearances for the Argentinean football club. In December 2004 he transferred to Corinthians though, and became the most expensive South American player ever when he joined the club for $20 million.

Making just fifty three league appearance for Corinthians with a fantastic return of thirty one goals, Tevez moved into English football in August 2006, in a move which saw he and fellow Argentine Javier Mascherano join West Ham. Failing to score for West Ham until March 4th 2007, a late flurry of goals saw him score seven over the course of the next two months, the final of which coming against Manchester United on May 13th, a goal which provided West Ham with the win that kept the club in the Premier League. He really won the Upton Park faithful over with his displays in the last couple of months of the season, and Carlos Tevez effectively singlehandedly kept West Ham up in the 2006/07 season.

Signing a two year loan deal with Manchester United in August 2007; in his time with the club so far, Carlos Tevez has already won the Premier League, the Community Shield, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup also. He's already proven to be a huge success at Manchester United, and making many appearances for the club has already scored a lot of goals for his team. It remains to be seen as to whether or not Manchester United will choose to purchase the player at the end of the 2008/09 season, one thing's for sure though; Carlos Tevez is an absolutely phenomenal football player, and most definitely has an exciting future ahead of him in football.

Tevez has been a presence in the Argentinean national team since 2004 now, he's a very popular Argentine international, and has already made forty four appearance and scored seven goals at international level. Tevez' international future looks to be very bright, and he'll no doubt make many more appearances for Argentina in the future.

Carlos Tevez is an absolutely fantastic Argentinean footballer, one of the very best there ever has been, and always it's exciting to watch him in action on the football field. Not the tallest player in the world; Tevez works very hard in each and every game he plays, and always runs himself ragged with the effort that he puts in on the football field. Never does Carlos Tevez stop running; he's all over the field in each and every game that he takes part in, and always this is a fantastic quality to find in a football player.

Hard working and highly talented also; Carlos Tevez is a fantastic footballing talent, and a player who'll no doubt be involved in footballing action of the highest level for many years to come.
