Poetry: Spelling

Title endorsed in part by:

by Liane Laskoske

Created on: January 27, 2009

"I" before "E" except after "C"

is the rule in spelling.

Laying and lying and led and lead

around until there's no telling.

But even with dictionary,

Roget's and the net

there're still spellings somehow

I just don't get.

How can a poem be better than mine,

when the writer can't properly

spell the word "DYING"!?

Spellcheck is helpful,

of course, in it's way,

but knowledge of grammar

is going away.

Did their garden there mean they're

planting it wrong?

or is they all their to sung there own song?
