Guantanamo Bay was a terrorist detention camp where terrorists are put up to trial. Guantanamo Bay has put fear into terrorists. Why would anyone close this terrorism prevention. President Obama has no political experience, as this is shown when he closed the base. Not only did the military base prevent terrorism, it kept United States presence in Cuba. How will the United States remain such a superpower if we do things like this.
Prisoners released from Guantanamo Bay have gone back to terrorism. What are we going to do with all of these detainees? Oh, I forgot, President Obama doesn't have a plan. Once again his inexperience shows. Many people have said that detainees have been tortured. That is not true, it has never been proven. We don't even know what we consider torture.
The United States needs to establish itself better. Everyone sees the great military and wonderful nation, but when we release prisoners that are going to commit the act of terrorism, you gotta wonder what we were thinking. I understand that we need to be a "Beacon of Hope", but I have a question about that. How is allowing terrorism giving hope. When you can give me a valid answer to that question, I will be happy. It is not like we are taking away their human rights. That is all they get. We are doing this to defend our country. Defending our country will not be fun, but it is something we have to do.
Now, to answer the debate question. Was President Obama right to order closed the terrorist detention camp at Guantanamo Bay? No, he was not right, as he will soon see. What is he going to do with detainees? Is he going to release them to continue committing acts of terror or will he put them on U.S. soil, giving other terrorists reason to enter the country.
In conclusion, Obama's decision to close the terrorist detention camp at Guantanamo Bay was not a good one. I disagree with decision and I know that there will be big consequences to this. Also, President Obama's lack of a plan proves my point of his inexperience.
Now, I think electing President Obama in the first place was a bad decision. He has no experience in government. His middle name is "Hussein" and he is now our president. That in itself is outrageous. Why is he our president? Because his speech writers are very talented. He also gives hope. I may not agree with President Obama, but I do wish him the best, because he is going to be in charge of our country for four years, so I just hope he doesn't mess things up too much. His inexperience will come back to haunt him.
