Poetry: Love expressed

I guess
Because I don't know
Because I don't want to know

How you really are
A mystery
As it should be

The skeletons aren't there
So long as you don't look
Their rattling goes unheard

I guess
Because I don't know
I still don't want to

Know how you've been
If you are sad
I'll want to fix everything

If I can't help
I don't want to know
How it would feel

I guess
Because I don't know
What sadness you could bring

To not live up
To your standards
Forgetting I had any of my own

Don't show me what it's like
To hate myself as much
As I love you

I guess
Because I don't know
Will she, Won't she

Driving me mad
I have no more will
To hope she won't

Be better than me
In everyway
While I am alone

I guess
Because I don't know
I'll never know if I'm the one
