Poetry: Until the end of time

by Kadie Hamilton

Created on: January 27, 2009

"Until the end of time, my love."

Those poisonous words were whispered in her ear

And then the pain arrived,

Filling her blood like fire.

She waited until the moon shone down

And then resumed her hunt.

To find the man who'd betrayed her trust

And run away with her heart.

No more sunshine days

Were left to her anymore.

His poison kiss, the spell-like bliss,

Was all a lie in the end.

She smelled the air

And here and there,

She thought she scented him

Again.

But it was no more.

Like smoke on the wind

It was carried away from her

Into the black of the night.

She sat and sighed

For who could deny

"Until the end of time"

Was the only truth he'd every said.
