Life is filled with wasted time,
Empty dreams, ironic rhymes,
Tarnished gold, and blackened skies.
But oh, serenity in your blue eyes.
Acrid emotions inflame the world,
Glass shard spears of words are hurled,
Smut-black hate pollutes the air.
Wheatened gold streaks your blond hair.
Snarled strands of time flash forth.
Almost there, pull into port.
Sunrise smile at sunset's end.
At last, at last, with you again.
