There are many reasons for losing weight after giving birth and not losing weight. Some people may wonder: is it really possible to return to previous size exactly? Will it harm the baby for lack of nutrition from the breastfeeding?

If a woman doesn't lose weight long after the childbirth, people may understand. Some excuses will be justified, that it's indeed impossible to do so. At least, many health practitioners recommend at least 6 months of breastfeeding period.

It's actually easier to lose weight rather than not. There are much more good reason to do so and there are much more things to help women lose weight after childbirth, especially in this modern age.

Take the 'no' side first. If a woman doesn't lose weight, and say if her husband accepts her as she is (hopefully so), a question arises. What happens if the woman gives birth to more babies, one after another? How much weight will she accumulate along the way?

Say, a husband accepts the wife as she is, regardless of her weight. The question will be: is there any guarantee that the husband will never get attracted to other young women out there? Let's assume the husband is faithful. Will the wife turn her husband on? Which one gives more pride to the women: the husband gets excited by looking at the wife, or at other women?

Why should a woman care? Other than the husband, the children will be the other factors. Do you want the children to say: "My mom is fat" or "My mom is pretty"? Certainly, there's no threat of adultery this time, but which comment is more pleasant to hear?

If other people say, "Whoa, she looks beautiful although she has already given birth 5 times!", "She looks just like a young girl, despite already having young girls as her daughters", will it be nice to hear?

We're not talking about pressure. It's within human's right. At worst: husband's right. The husband may or may not demand the wife to be beautiful. Yet, for women, why not give your best to your soulmate?

In the same situation, women should feel fortunate, since the burden of taking care of the babies is mainly borne by women, which involves waking up at nights, breastfeeding, cleaning the babies, and so on, women should have no problem getting back into shape. All those activities are really nice calorie burners.

Women should never feel any pressure to reshape fast to avoid putting the health at risk. The baby needs nutrition, and the husband needs to wife to stay healthy and fit all the time. Both are much more important than mere looks.

If you can choose to be healthy and beautiful at the same time, why only choose for one?
