Should the president's children be in the spotlight? In quick answer it would be a soft answer of no. Unfortunately most people think them as superstars of sorts. Presidential children are basically looked as children who should be role models to the children of our nation ,and this is not true of them in many cases. Looking at the Bush twins antics including DUI ,and underage drinking. The thing is kids will be kids ,and they should not be hounded as they currently are. Then you have there right to privacy. In my opinion it should be made a law if a parent who is in the media may it be movies ,or president alike the child should not be hounded as they are being now by paparazzi ,and news agencies trying to get a news story. The biggest thing stated by these people are the children are in a area viewable by the public there for they have a right to take pictures or follow these people around. These children should not be treated in such a way this kind of attention can be harmful to there mental health. It should never be placed that just because there the presidents child they should be in the media. Again I will point to the Bush twins underage drinking last I checked it is illegal for the police to release the names of people they arrest that are underage. That is a violation of the families civil rights ,and whom ever released the names should have been relieved of duty ,and forced to pay restitution's for the misdeed. The child's life should not be put on public display I would understand if the child went to a national spelling bee ,or Science fair ,and won a prize ,but other than the small exceptions of this they should not be spotlighted for any other reason. Building up to major reasons for this is a child is easily impressionable ,and can harm younger children in later life. Following them around can cause paranoid ,or schizophrenic behavior as they age. Many people do not think of the fact that most paparazzi will aggressively follow someone ,and get in there way trying to get them to act out to sell these actions to a tabloid magazine you see on a grocery store checkout line. Child stars are also very susceptible to things of this nature. Things such as these kind of people should not be allowed ,and rightfully punishable severely. it cannot be completely acceptable for any person to stalk these children for all we know someone can grab a camera ,and follow these children ,and abduct them. There is only one thing people are missing the point to when they see that the president has a child. It is there child ,and yes they maybe cute ,but it is there child no one should treat another's child as they do these children.
