Product reviews: Frederik Fekkai hair products

Frederic Fekkai's products, compared to a myriad of other do-nothing or average to below average hair products, are truly worth the price. For example, Frederic Fekkai's Glossing Cream is, in my opinion, a miracle product. Period.

I was first introduced to this product quite by accident. I think I read about it somewhere or else, just by sheer frustration of dealing with my long, thick, fine-textured but super-dry hair and tangled mess of hair, I needed something to fix my problem fast! If your hair is dry, damaged, or just needs a little "weight" (without actually weighing it down), this is it. I usually apply a little to a lot, depending on how dry my hair feels after washing, and I usually blow-dry it after. The cream lasts for a long time too. I usually go through a tube of it in four or five months, and the size I purchase costs $20.00.

The texture is light, airy, and moisture-rich. If you hair is not dry or damaged and prone to being oily though, I would not use this product as it will make your hair seem more oily. The cream leaves hair gleaming and glossy, and also highly conditioned. Parched tresses and tangles are instantly soothed away.

I am always amazed at how just a little dollop in wet hair can instantly remedy my tangles. All it takes from there is just a little brushing and blow drying. As for the scent of the product, it has a very light natural smell that will not compete with your perfumes for attention. What I like best is that the cream is made from olive oil. I feel that olive oil is an excellent hydrator, both for skin and hair.

I have used this product for years now. Aveda's Light Elements also works well too, but my favourite is Frederic Fekkai's. By the way, I hear ladies have become enamoured of the man, not only because he's easy on the eyes, but because of his superior hair products that actually work. I personally never gush over beauty products or celebrities that much, but I have to admit, Fekkai has won my heart somewhat, at least because of the integrity of his products.

In addition, the Fekkai company is cruelty-free. Now, I've heard that it's recently been purchased by another company that tests on animals, but like The Body Shop, which was purchased by L'Oreal (which tests on animals), I don't think that either Fekkai or The Body Shop test - they have continued to maintain their status so far. I hope it stays that way.
