The best place in Africa, Libya has never been on international scene without getting linked to terror activities with all credits to US and UK Administrations in the past . However, Col.Muammar Gaddafi has been silently focusing on the development of his country "Libya", in-spite of the years of sanctions on his nation. Libya as a nation or its people have never shown desperation or dependency on the west like the other nations. Who else could earn a praise from Mr. Nelson Mandela? Or who could keep peace onhis country while the whole continent and the rest of the world were tied up in economic crises, wars, civil unrest or troubles with neighbors? Its only the true abilities as a leader and promise made during the coupe that Muammar Gaddafi has proved the world wrong. The west tried everything to frame Libya as a terror nation and Gaddafi as a rouge dictator, but it was only the patience of Gaddafi that humbled hisoponents. Unlike the other dictators the name Gaddafi doesn't raise fear but respect in the hearts of his people. The same confidence and ethics is displayed in Libyan citizens, its indeed a great achievement that any leader could excel,that in the last century. A very intelligent move by Gaddafi was following the overthrow of Saddam Hussein and the total destruction of Iraq. He opened the doors to UN to inspect his weapons of mass destruction programs toprotect his country and his regime from a similar outcome as in Iraq. That shows that as a politician he is willing to change and a change that would benefit his country. George W Bush commented that Gaddafi acted in fear to open access to the inspectors but I will disagree with the former President. To avoid war and protect the country, economy, citizens is the wisest decision to do so. Even former President of USA Mr. Bush hasnt fulfilled his obilgations as an elected leader. Another best compliment was from the British Ambassador Mr. Anthony Layden that in 35 years he has not seen such successful education system, total state of control of economy and employment for the people. We all hear such promises made by all the politicians around the world to gain votes and to be elected, but after getting elected,the promises are never met, but Gaddafi has been quietlysuccessful at it without any issues. Another great achievement by Gaddafi is the completion of largest underground freshwater supply pipes, below Sahara desert, which he described as his gift to the third world. His ability to get the US and the European leadersto do business with his country now is just one more example that Gaddafi doesn't mean terror but economic stronghold, stability, role model nation , inspiring leadership who is willing to build bridges of established ties with all the nations around the world. Eventually making Libya name to reckon with. Gaddafi has surpassed all the obstacles and duly paying dues to even defend himself and Libya. Waiting patiently to make the right move and not to get excited by accusations or disturb his position as a leader. In the process he has lead his country to great economic sustainability and desired of Libya as friendly nation and not terrorist state.
