This article attempts to summarize the various steps that should be followed in academic papers and essay writing. Writing requires a good discipline and well organized plan, without a proper plan your paper would repeat several mistakes and this would distract the reader from your paper.

Before coming down to write your paper you should have a clear idea about what you are expected to write. You can get a good idea about what you should write by looking at the given title. When you are clear about the title your next step is your research. You gather information by reading and other methods. It is necessary to edit and analyse the information obefore putting it to the essay. A clear outline to organize your wringing is necessary. The steps one finds in a good outline can be summarized as follows

The introduction:-

Your thesis should be clearly mentioned in the introductory paragraph of the essay. Some other areas that can be covered in the introduction are a good background on the topic and a general idea on the area that is to be covered in the paper.

The first paragraph:-

The main body of the essay is started with the first paragraph. Every paragraph should contain a topic sentence which should be the first or the second sentence of the academic essay. If the paragraph seems to become too long, taking it to a subordination paragraph is a good decision since readers get bored of too long paragraphs. In a subordination paragraph one can include the illustrations and other supporting points and ideas of the main paragraph.

The second paragraph:-

In every paragraph one should take fresh points which supports the main thesis.

The conclusion:-

A conclusion is a must for a good essay since it is the proper way of ending a good writing. In the conclusion, the thesis has to be restated and the main points should be repeated. Write two or three sentences that connect the main points to the thesis. It is important not to bring up new points and ideas in the conclusion.

To write a successful essay, it is necessary to have a rich vocabulary which makes the essay beautiful and interests the reader in reading it. Complicated grammar and structures should be avoided in order to make the main points and views to be clearly understood. For this one can use simple and short sentences instead of complex sentences. Some think that short sentences represent one's inability to produce a good article which is totally untrue.
