Poetry: Prince Charming

by Stocker Wiley

Created on: January 26, 2009

Prince

Where is the royal blue suit jacket

with big golden buttons dangling decadence

the horse-drawn carriage awaiting her every move

Prince on his knee holding crystallized foot wear

where could that be

traded for the chunky lump of so what

squatting on the couch

pants half way down

digging for some black gold

don't hold your breath

no timeless sheath holds his sword

what happened to the great protector

willing to vanquish an evil Deity

and ward off a horde of man-eating monsters

whose chain-mill is now Cheeto dust

lumbering snores distract her

looking at his big rotund ear propped up like a funnel

was she thinking of Prince charming or the king from Macbeth
