Eyebrows shaping tips

after years of growing up with teenage sisters and having so many fashion and beauty magazines around the house, i have discovered the best ways to shape eyebrows.

firstly, you need to decide what shape you would like. if you have full lips, then you should go for a more thicker eyebrow shape, and for thin lips you can get away with thinner eyebrows.

to help you choose what shape you want, use a concealer or white eyeliner to draw over the eyebrow, and you can judge where you want the arch.

it is best to follow the natural shape of your eyebrow, as this helps you to get a good arch without looking angry or masculine, or permanently surprised!

you should always pluck after a shower, when the pours are open, if you are prone to oily skin. this will help prevent spots or redness forming. try to pluck in natural sunlight. i like to hold a hand mirror in front of the window. natural light will help you see the tiny hairs that you may have otherwise missed.

pluck a few hairs from each eyebrow, as apposed to completely shaping one eyebrow, and then the other afterwords. this prevents mis-matched eyebrows!

the eyebrows should not be plucked any shorter than the inner point of your eye (above the nose area) because this makes your nose look bigger, and eyes look farther apart.

the eyebrows also shouldn't be shortened on the outside, as this makes the eyes look shorter.

before the arch, only pluck a few hairs from underneath, to tidy it up, and then slant the eyebrow up until the arch, where afterwords it can go much thinner.

once you are happy with your eyebrow shape, wash your face with cold water to close the pores and maybe try a little pale eyeshadow on the brow bone to open your eyes up.

smile, you're beautiful.
