Songs: War

Born and Raised the End of His Days

He was born on a Friday night

A little baby just seeing the light

For the first time, for the first time

Born and raised by the ones he loved

Put through school to find the meaning of

Life and love, o yea, but it was hard to find

Well he was fully loved and he wanted more

Well he was told that good men should go to war

So he signed his papers and headed towards the door

And his parents cried as they kissed him goodbye

For the last time, for the last time

Well he left his home to go fight a war

Never to return, so what was it all for

HIs parents watched him grow and watched him go

Never ever gonna come home, their baby is gone for good

it was a rainy night when the man came to the door

He broke the news and momma fell to the floor

Papa tried to stay strong but he just cried

They could only remember kissing their baby goodbye

For the last time, for the last time

Well many young men have left their homes

Never to return, so many answerers unknown

HIs parents watched him grow and watched him go

Never ever gonna come home, their baby is gone for good
