The Story of A Penny
Not so long ago, I'm just a lonely penny
Laying around in a corner, feeling the weight of the world on me
It seems like a lifetime to wait for something exciting to happen
But I know, I'm certain; I will be in high spirits before the season ends.
I was sitting in a corner when someone picked me up
Placed me in a crystal clear glass where the other pennies lie
I jumped to my feet and shouted to my delight
I whispered to myself, "my wish will be a reality at last."
I assumed that this is where I belong
In the company of my penny friends, that's what I thought all along
But deep inside me, something is not quite right
Telling me that I should be somewhere else far from this sight.
I was feeling hopeless, and almost gave up on it
That no matter how hard I tried, I still failed to see it
I think somebody heard my contemplation that someone gathered us
Transferred us into an enormous Budweiser bottle, that's where he took us.
I found my new dwelling, a little bit unusual
But my new penny friends, made it exceptional
Finally, I can say that this is the right place for me
Inside a giant Budweiser bottle, there's no other place I'd rather to be.

Take a walk in my shoes.
Experience one day in my life.
See the anguish, the exhaustion,
The terror, the strife.

Here inside this body
Lives a ME that no one knows
A ME that's hard to understand
A ME I haven't chose
To be bitter and misgiving

The girl in the mirror is hard to embrace

A day in my life
A sky of often-grey
A never-lifting cloud
An endless fall of rain
A bout of shining sun
Playing peek-a-boo
