Reflections: What you'd do if you were to die tomorrow

If I were to die tomorrow, what would I do with myself? Well, I have watched "Last Holiday" the movie with Queen Latiifah where she knows she is going to die, so she spends all her money doing all the things she wanted to do before her death. I have seen "The Bucket List", in which two men make a list of things they want to do before they die. Both were great movies, and provide great inspiration.

However, there is the case of a man in Britain, where his doctor told him he was going to die. The poor guy went and spent all his money, and then his doctor told him the diagnosis was wrong and he was going to live after all. Now the guy has no money, and what is he going to do now?

So first, I'd make sure I was really going to die, and then once confirmed, I would make a list of all the things I would want do. The list would include some things that would help others, and some things that I would do just because I couldn't ever do it again.

First, I would sell everything that I own, and use some of the profits to help the needy. I am not going to need the money, and there are plenty of people who could use the money, or maybe even better some of my wordily possessions. I'm sure someone could use my car to drive to work, or wear my clothes to stay warm on the streets.

I would give some of the money I had to my father, because he deserves to retire sooner rather than later. Since I know he would bail me out of any financial situation I was in, I would be certainly do the same in return.

Traveling would certainly be in my plans as well. I would love to go see Africa, and the wild animals that roam free in the plains. I would want to go to Europe, and see the Eifel Tower, and Big Ben, maybe tour some of Germany too, where the second world war took place.

I would probably spend some time making sure that I had a chance to say goodbye to everyone, and make sure that they were ready for me to go. I mean, it may seem hard to die, but if I know I will die, I can control how I deal with it, but could others?

Overall though, I would make sure that I had a great day, and had a lot of fun. I would live that day to the fullest, and not let the little things of my past get to me. I would make up with anyone who was my enemy, and just leave the world in peace. I would hope that I could do enough to make a great final impression, and leave my legacy to future generations.
