Yahoo.com is one of the most visited sites on the Internet, but did you know this powerhouse also hosts its own library of games? That's right, one of the websites millions of people go to just for searching the Internet, can also be used for relaxing and having a generally good time.

Yahoo! Games also features news from the gaming industry, and tons of free games to play online. Whether it's against friends or computer opponents it seems as if Yahoo! Games has something for everyone. However, is Yahoo! Games worth the visit, and how does it compare to other online gaming websites out there?

Design

Like most of Yahoo, their game section is easy to find right off the home page. Every link is easily visuable, and once you get to the Yahoo! Games page itself there is a display of the top 20 online games. The website is designed so that everyone from any age group can easily navigate throughout the website with ease, and that's a good thing.

Features

If you're at work and in need of a good game, check out Yahoo! Games. There are games from every category possible of gaming, strategy, action, shooters. Most of the games are online playable, especially old time favorites such as Poker and Pool. However, it should be known that Yahoo! Games only has a selection of flash games.

In addition to the games players can even win money just by playing their favorite games. Tournaments also have their spotlight on Yahoo! Games, which have players from all over the world facing each other for prizes. Also present on the Yahoo! Games website are leagues which puts you against competition in a variety of popular games.

Looking for a game to try out while at work? Pool is great and easy to figure out, and Bejeweled Mania seems to be a fan favorite among the folks at Yahoo! Games. A good number of the games can even be downloaded for later gaming, which makes this the ideal site for those who may not have time on their side.

Improvement

While Yahoo! Games is perfect for those wanting to waste some time gaming. It does have some major faults, which include not having good quality games. Flash games can only impress so much, but they are nothing compared to installable quality PC games out there on the market.

Also, Yahoo! Games should also give out prizes more frequently. It's easy to suspect that prizes at Yahoo! Games may be nearly impossible to win. This may be the case, but the website does display various winners that have received thousands of dollars by simply playing a game and winning the jackpot.
