Are the shadows in my mind or of ghosts that won't let go?
Foggy recollections or memories etched in time,
imprinted on a setting that refuses to erase
the memory of what happened on a timeless fateful date.
Walking through the corridors of a long lost date in time
ghostly meanderings send shivers up my spine.
A shadow here, a flicker there, a voice I can't quite hear;
A touch upon my shoulder, I turn, there's no one there.
One day soon, bereft of flesh and bone, I fear I too shall meander
through the misty shrouds of time, my voice a mere whisper
to those who cannot hear; spidery words amidst the echoes of my time.
What will I think when the ghostly walk is mine;
when the shoulder that I touch senses no one from behind?
And when the light bathes my weary soul in love-
Will I follow or stay behind to continue on my haunt?

Shadows of the night
Somewhere in a distant dream,
stood two shadows of the night.
At the edge of split perception,
being bathed
Absent light
Stains on a wall
Take human form
But twist, Distort
They move and dance
But have no life
Hollow imposters
Shadows in the Night
Shadows haunting in the night.
Playing games in the moonlight.
Keeping all the shapes I see
Deep within
As I gaze into the light of night
Shadows emerge upon my sight
Some bring thoughts of sheer delight
Some are scary in gruesome

Shadow Tag - A Childhood Memory
Whispers of footsteps cross my grassy path,
As I kneel in the shadows in the full moonlight.
