Poetry: Fear

Fear and Courage

There is a poison that lurks in ones mind and soul

Like a disease it spreads through veins bringing nothing but doom

You'll never feel safe not even in your own room

Brightness will become dark and your palms will be starting to sweat

All you can do is pray to god to give you courage

But once fear has set in not even that will help you

Fear is a poison that will eat you alive

Fear is a poison that starts on the inside

Soon you will become weak and your heart will pound

Soon you be looking up cause fear has put you underground

Fear is a work of the devil

And courage is the work of god

Knowing when to be courageous is all up to you

Fear is a dark and evil disease that will hold you back

Fear will turn people you loved into enemies

Fear will cut you down like a rotten tree

Fear is a poison leaving us to ask for redemption

Fear is a disease leaving us to ask for a remedy

Fear is a villain in which we cannot just close our eyes

Fear is in all of us, waiting to spread like cancer

Fear will always be lurking all around

And courage will be waiting for one it crown
