Poetry: True feelings

by Sue Bluze

Created on: January 24, 2009

I wonder how the world would be

If you were not here for me

My feelings for you are so sure

The love and emotion I feel is pure

The way you came to my rescue

You are one of a very special few

Who shed light and joy wherever they go

And so very few ever really know.

My fears and horror went away

The day you held my hand that way

My tears you stemmed with hugs of gold

I hope I still know you when I'm old.

True love and trust are hard to find

And I could never leave them behind

I will love you for eternity

Just because you were there for me.
