Athletics is good for children. Mine were kind of into it. They usually got together with their friends and played. They were not much for joining teams. Two of my boys joined little league teams one year. My middle boy joined the wrestling team one year. As I said they most got together with a bunch of others and would play. Touch football, soccer, dodge ball, basketball and wrestling. They used to play catch and tag a lot too. My grandson was into karate. He did play soccer for one season. He is mostly into playing baseball. He may be going into junior wrestling. Athletics teaches them to work in a team. They made new friends though usually only when they are playing together. If you have children I would tell you to get them involved in athletics. In the long run it will pay off.
