One issue that seems to rise on Helium is the titles. Many times we have written articles or have ideas for articles to write that do not match existing titles on Helium. Instead of scrapping the article or the idea, take some time to suggest a new article title. Helium has a process that allows writers to suggest title for article titles. The process will assist you as a writer and it assists Helium as the online publisher. New titles increase the opportunity for Helium to draw visitors to their site. The more titles that Helium has within its active database only increases the chance of drawing visitors to the site. Here are a few simple tips to follow when suggesting a new article to Helium

1.) Be sure the title does not already exist

Before you begin suggesting titles for Helium it is crucial to make sure that your title idea does not already exist on Helium. There are two simple ways of checking titles on Helium. The first is with the title finder option located on any My Helium page. The sidebar options list a variety of options for information and one option is the title finder. Using the title finder is relatively simple. By clicking on the title finder button you will be given the option of searching the Helium database of articles. On the title finder search page, type in the topic keywords or phrase and allow the database to search for matching article titles. The database will return a list of matching titles. Read through the existing titles and see if your article matches something already in existence. The second way to search is to use the Suggest a Title button. The suggest a title option will make you do more work by actually suggesting a title before it generates a list of possible matches. There is more work involved but this can be a more thorough method of searching.

2.) Check the various channels for ideas

Take some time to read through the existing titles on various channels and in the sub-channels. These existing titles will offer some insight on what is already on Helium and may help you select titles to write additional articles on. Reading the existing titles also offers other benefits. The existing titles allow you to see what is already working on Helium and what is not working. These titles will help you format and produce quality titles for suggestion. The titles might also spur some additional inspiration and insight that may lead you to suggest even more additional titles. Remember the title suggestion option makes writing
