Has Paris Hilton Found God?
There is a scripture that says (and I am paraphrasing) that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to get into Heaven. I used to think that this meant that God didn't particularly care for the rich. Then a pastor presented an analysis that made a little more sense; he said that in biblical times, people thought that since money bought privilege, surely a rich man would have no trouble getting into Heaven, and if a rich man couldn't get into Heaven, who could? Thus, this illustration was given to prove that no man without Jesus had a chance at all, and this included the rich and privileged. Since then, I have reflected on this idea myself and my interpretation is that a rich person would be more unlikely to seek the Lord, as we usually do this when we feel weak and powerless and realize just how much we need Him. The poor, or at least people down on their luck, would be more likely to seek divine intervention because where else are they going to turn?

This is probably the one and only time in her life that Paris ever felt a need that her wealth and privilege couldn't buy her. Quite likely she felt alone and unloved during her incarceration and her times of solitude led to self-introspection and some serious soul searching. These are moments not all experience; we are creatures of the flesh, and when our desires are fulfilled at a moment's whim, our only thoughts are of finding new and exciting ways to further indulge ourselves. Our thoughts rarely turn to anything beyond the next pretty bauble that is easily within our reach. A rich and famous celebrity doesn't lack for friends and attention. Everyone fawns all over such a person, hoping to get closer to them and to gain a little bit of power and advantages for themselves. If you can become part of such a person's entourage, you too may become the next media's darling. The saying that money can't buy friends is debatable. And if you can't buy friends, you certainly can buy all the companionship you want.
The question is not whether or not Paris found God; the question is if she did, in fact, experience a relationship with God, will she continue to walk with Him? Now she has returned to her mansion and her luxurious lifestyle. She is free to resume her life of night clubbing in her newest skimpy ensemble, while surrounded by
