nations move towards prosperity. Only when technology is paired with drive and passion towards the cause and greater good, can poverty be lessened. Many issues including women's health, sexual health and disease transmission, natural resource depletion, or illiteracy that are often hallmark's in indigent regions must be tackled by aggressive educational strategies that are set into motion by other human's desire and willingness to help those who are less fortunate. Technology can undoubtedly augment the learning process as it applies to teaching and delivering knowledge.

Despite all these wonderful things technology offers it must be utilized and integrated with a watchful eye, as it can be used in negative ways such as exploitation and imbalances of power. It is not out of the realm of possibility that leader's of some third-world or non-democratic nations use technology to mislead their countrymen due to their lack of knowledge.

Poverty is sustained by human indifference and inaction. Technology is a tool that fuel's innovation and creativity for the world's poverty problem. It can be used to implement efficiencies, education and services. Technology can be a powerful weapon to be used in the eradication of poverty, but it is only a piece of the puzzle to the broader, big picture problem. The driving thrust of combating poverty will always largely involve educational efforts, and the caring compassion of the human spirit that can be found in giving oneself to a community.
