Walk and talk: How going for walks together can improve your relationship

Put the briefcase down and grab your partner's hand, don't take no for an answer and go for a walk. Today's rat race is proving to reflect a strain on relationships. There is little time to talk, little time to laugh - there is little time to spend together. Therefore, we must take control; refuse to work the over-time hours and spend them with your partner instead.

Going for walks together temporarily erases the hustle and bustle of the office and is replaced by warm conversations and laughing. This could prove to be the ultimate remedy for relieving stress. Take the time to spend quality time walking with your partner; you are then given an opportunity to find out what they are going through, how life is treating them, and also to express the way you feel toward each other.

Many times our lives are spent running wide open, jumping on the rat race with the world and leaving your partner behind. A wonderful relationship will stem from getting off of the ride with the world and focusing on the time you can spend to help enhance your relationship.

Walking or running in the rain would increase the excitement. Splashing in mud puddles, running in the rain, and not worrying about your hair or make up. This is truly a compassionate way to enjoy time together and relieve a little stress. Putting the worries of this world ahead of your relationship could be detrimental as you both begin to wonder "what happened to the good old days?" Never pass up an opportunity to spend time together - Give them an opportunity to share with you the things they enjoy doing, as well as the things they love about you, walking together is the perfect place to share those things without being interrupted.

Sitting at home with your partner and talking is nice, but the interruptions are there as well. Telephones, television, and neighborly visits could interrupt an intense moment between partners, therefore going outside of the home, taking a walk and communicating together would be a better option. The only interruptions you may have is the sound of the birds, the fresh sun shine, and an occasional laugh from each other, clearly this is the best choice.

Never take for granted the opportunity to give a little time to enhance your relationship, walking together is the perfect way to build it. Put the briefcase down, grab your partner's hand, don't take no for an answer - and go for a walk!
