If you want to spend some time driving yourself nuts, then this game is for you! It's a cross between a puzzle and a labyrinth, and seems to me to be more designed for children than adults - even though I found it very difficult to play, and I am far from being a child.
Game score overall: 2/5. The music for this game is particularly good, being orchestral rather than the usual background noise which we have come to associate with computer games. However, few people play games for their music.
Game play: 2/5. This requires some dexterity with the mouse or you will find yourself being bounced around in places to which you never wanted to go in the first place. There was far too much speech in the form of rather silly commentary for my liking, and this takes up a good deal of time, since each speech has to be analyzed to determine whether or not it has anything to do with the achievement of your objective.
Graphics 1/5. Once you play the game these are pretty much of the arcade variety and have little to do with any kind of reality. I found them irritating, especially after the introduction, which is good and leads you to believe that here is really something different. The appearance of the game is more of the storyboard variety than any kind of virtual reality, and the figures are rather Noddy-esque and childish for my liking.
Creativity and Innovation: 1/5. This is not the sort of game that we have come to expect with our graphics accelerators and all the modern equipment which tends to be standard with most computers. It is more the sort of thing that we were used to with the old 386 computers, and has been done many times before.
I suppose we should give the game an extra point for the fact that you can save your progress at any time, making unnecessary re-plays avoidable. Anyone who had to play this more than once would be a devil for punishment!
I never bothered to finish the demo because I found it thoroughly frustrating and uninteresting, and some of the moves required the sort of Rubic's Cube intelligence which I simply don't possess. Altogether, it certainly is not the sort of thing that I would ever recommend to anyone, and I would certainly not buy it. In many ways it is too childish for adults and yet too difficult for children. Generally a rather poor offering.
