When I was younger I was a very shy boy,
I very rarely spoke or even showed joy,
I had a best friend to share with and joke,
But I was never really a popular bloke.
Being an only child had its advantages as well,
I was spoilt rotten and everyone could tell,
But I never learnt to stand up for myself,
And love is more important than material wealth.
In sports I lacked a competitive edge,
Often I liked to watch TV and veg,
Many kids used to tease me at school,
I was worried that I wasn't as cool.
Now I am older and nothing has changed,
Being shy can be an emotional drain,
Nobody knows what the future will hold,
But hopefully I can be a little more bold.

and what he has to say.
It is in The Little Black Book,
sometimes in red,
