Why man should study history

Have you ever wondered about the way the Universe operates? Have you ever looked at history and studied historical events? The ancient wisdom of Kabbalah explains in depth and answers so many of the questions that have perplexed humanity throughout the ages.

What's It All About?

As humanity evolves it appears as though the basic nature of man does not change. It is now the 21st century and we are still fighting over the same issues we have over the ages. Some of the conflict has just moved to different places In the case of the Middle East, they are still fighting in the same place.

What are they fighting about? If we delve into the causes, it is for oil or commodities, land, or religion. All of it is about power over another. If you believe your religion is the "right" religion, then it can be justified that it is o. k. to kill others. If one group decides it would like the land another has, go for it!

Check the history of the Alamo. Who did Texas belong to? Texas belonged to Spain and then Mexico took it over. Yet, Davy Crockett and the others who were fighting for Texas, felt the Mexicans were the enemy. Surely the Mexicans thought the Americans were the enemy since at the time of the conflict, Mexico owned Texas. Does any nation really own land anyway?

We have almost finished the first decade of the twenty first century and the current conflicts are over the same issues that were fought over five thousand years ago! The only thing is that over time the enemy changes. At one time there was the Revolutionary War. That was between the English and those who left to come to America to free themselves from the tyranny of England. Now England and the United States are friends. During World War II the USSR was the United States' ally. Later they were enemies.

Countries are still fighting over religion! If we look at Iraq, we can see the different Muslim groups fighting with each other. What is it all about? What causes all this commotion and dissonance? The ancient wisdom of Kabbalah states that humanity judges everything by whether it is bitter or sweet. It is good when it feels good and we are happy. It is bad when it feels bad or we are sad.

The question is: Is there even really an enemy? Or, is it simply that humanity feels any person, country, or group that does not agree with one's personal desires is the enemy. One country thinks Communism is the best form of government. Another thinks Democracy is the best form of government. Each exerts force in order to coerce
