You want to earn $1000 a day? Hopefully you are not reading this in the hopes of making $1000 today. Or tomorrow. The following does not contain any get rich quick schemes or any promises that you can do this with little or no effort. There are very few people who earn this kind of money who do not work very hard, all day, every day to get there. But if you are interested in how you can use hard work and discipline to get to the point that some day you might consistently earn $1000 a day, read on.

1. Save and invest. This is a long term strategy, but if you look at the people who are bringing in this kind of money, they are not doing it just by salary. It's the old-fashioned way to make a ton of money: invest even more. Assume you can find an investment account that returns 10% a year. (The historical average for US stocks.) If you save $3,650,000, you'll be making $1000 a day in returns. Drawback: if you save $100 a month, it will take over 50 years to get there.

2. Become an owner partner in a major law firm or medical practice. Of course, the time, money, and effort to make it through law school or medical school might put this out of most people's reach. Even if you make ith through, most doctors and lawyers are not making this kind of cash.

3. Sell things. Selling things one at a time on an Internet auction might bring in some spare cash, but if you make it your full time job you might be able to make $1000 a day. Here's some encouraging math: if you can find a product that makes you $2 profit per sale, you only need to sell 500 a day to make $1000. Five hundred might seem like a lot, but there are millions of items being sold on line every day. Two dollars of profit per sale is not that much. You can conceivably find items that you can sell for four, five, or ten dollars of profit. Your required number of sales falls to 250, 200, or just 100 sales a day. It is within reach, but it will take a lot of work to do it.

4. Go the "Google" route. I don't necessarily mean get involved in search engine keyword marketing. But think about how Google makes millions of dollars: they found something that people will do millions of times a day and they charge them a tiny amount to do it. (Pennies, usually.) Take that concept and run with it. Who would have thought that charging companies $0.05 per click to get their ad in front of Internet users would become a billion dollar industry? The founders of Google did. If you can find something that makes you just one penny of
