Half-Double Crochet (hdc): Loop yarn over the hook once; two (2) loops on hook. Insert the hook in the chain or stitch, under the top two threads. Loop yarn over the hook once and pull through; three (3) loops on hook. Loop yarn over the hook once and pull through all three (3) loops. One half-double crochet made.
Double Crochet (dc): Loop yarn over the hook once; two (2) loops on hook. Insert the hook in the chain or stitch, under the top two threads. Loop yarn over the hook once and pull through; three (3) loops on hook. Loop yarn over the hook once and pull through two (2) loops; two (2) loops on hook. Loop yarn over the hook once and pull through the remaining two (2) loops. One double crochet made.
