I asked myself if I died today would my husband truly know how much I love him? Would it really matter about all the love I proclaimed to have inside of my heart if I was never able to give it to away to him? Then I realized that love is not love at all unless you give it away. You can't store it away in your mind or upon your hearts shelf waiting for the right day to show that love and show that we are not taking our relationships for granted! Good intentions are never enough, we need to put action behind our thoughts and words. Learn to let that action be love!
Love is found in all of the little things that we can do every day, and in all of the thoughts that should lead you to do the things that you say and profess to the one you are in relationship with. A humble attitude and a grateful heart are among the greatest gifts that can possibly be given to another. For it is these cornerstones that open up and reveal a whole new world to live in the love that sits within your heart.
These things that bind the love in your heart to others can never be broken unless you selfishly choose to love yourself over another. For in choosing to think of yourself, you take the opportunity for someone else to love you away! Love is the greatest gift that we have been given and can give to others, and it is a lifestyle that should be lived toward even those who have hurt us and deserve nothing more than death- for in loving the unlovely, and the ones who meant us great harm, we show that God through us is greater than any word, deed, or action and that ultimately only He has the power to change us and bring life to a person who is damaged, broken, or has lost their way in life.
It is my husbands love for me that ignited the flame of passion and love within my heart- for I was dead in my sin and God's love in you made me alive again. If I try to say that I fully understand and fathom all that love is, I would be lying for it truly blows my mind and fascinates me at the same time! I know that I desire to live love and let it envelop my life in each moment of each day that God Himself gives me.
So many of us have failed the ones that we are in relationship with. Mainly because we have never truly started giving of ourselves unselfishly and without regard to what we will get back in return. This life is a journey, and somewhat like a race. We struggle to find our footing in this marathon that we run. But if you've never been loved before, and you know the agony and loneliness
