Poetry: Alone

by Morgan Bell

Created on: January 22, 2009

The hollowed hearth

Which was my heart

Hands unheld

Cold stone paving

Scooped out

Cooled embers

Scraped out

Warmth extinguished

Unfueled by another

There is no ignition

To run the heart

Alone
