Give me strength, Lord
To endure the darkness
To bear the heaviness
To withstand the weakness
Those things that press, pull,
And tear at the soul
Thank You, Lord
Your Holy Spirit
is able to keep what
I committed to You when I first believed
You sustain me and fill me with confidence
When all is crumbling and decaying before my eyes
Find in me, Lord
The gladness of Your heart
The brilliance of Your Spirit
The celebration of Your hope
These sustain, support, and strengthen
All who trust in You
Thank you, Lord
For peaceful moments
For the stillness of water
For the breath of the breeze
These refresh the soul with wonder and awe
They give us pause to reflect upon Your Holiness
In You, Lord is a greater hope
That today I can only glimpse
Though my eyes have seen the wonders of creation
Though my ears have heard the triumph of angelic voices
Though my tongue has tasted the sweetness of honey and cream
Merely shadows of things to come
In time, Lord
When I find myself
Embraced by Your Holy presence,
My eyes will see the dispensation of Justice and Mercy
My ears will be opened to perfect Peace
My tongue will know the taste of Truth

Poetry: Prayer
MY PRAYER
O Jehovah-Jireh, my Provider
please give me wisdom to know
all that I possess is because of You.
Without You all
by Rosa Lee
Feel, Mother Earth, the love I have for you
Touch me inside and teach me what to do
I am a child, learning of your ways
Touch
A TAP ON MY SHOULDER
A tap on my shoulder
just what I need.
Someone to remind me
now and then.
Pray often, not
necessarily short
A silent prayer to the Lord,
Is all I have to show,
My devotion, my desire,
And to let him know.
I clasp my hands and bow
You are the words I speak
the thought in my mind
You are the world I grieve
while it's falling behind
You are the hope
