How to go on a date and make a good impression without putting a serious dent in your pocket!

Here are some ideas for you to consider when going out on a date that won't break your savings plan.

First remember why you are going on this date. A date should strongly imply that you want to spend time with someone to get to know them better, or that you like to hang out with them, or you may have mutual interests and you would like to expand on that or you love them and you just want to be with them. A date is a time of fun and adventure. Having fun and getting to know another does not mean you must spend a lot of money each time you go out.

Staying in may be a good way of not spending but it should not be the only kind of date you should consider. You can make eating in more appealing by adding some special touches. Consider shopping for the fresh food ingredients and cooking together. It may even be a good way to recreate places you have visited through the food you prepare or the setting you arrange. In this way you are sharing your experiences and making the date more meaningful.

Dates should be interesting and fun to both of you. It should be a time to explore what your likes and dislikes are. It is a time to keep things interesting which means you need to try different places and look at different options.

Look into what provides good value when eating out. Why not meet at the markets for breakfast or brunch? Breakfast is a good meal to start the day and often very good value. It can be a very casual date without the need to dress up. You can also invite friends and relatives to enjoy a casual get together.

Think about and seek special deals of movie and dinner offers. These deals offer great value and you get to see a movie that is new or current. If you support a particular charity or organization why not consider going on a date to a relevant organized event or charity night. Not only will you be paying money to a worthy cause but you will also get a good night out. These events can also be enjoyed by organizing to meet friends out. Make it a fun night for all and create a relaxed and interesting evening.

When considering a date think of ways of cutting down on some of your costs. Some places you may consider may have an entrance fee others may be free to enjoy. Why not make some sandwiches and a flask of coffee and meet in the park, or go to the beach or the botanic gardens? Other places to consider that may hold more cultural significance may be the museum, art gallery or historical society.

Do not waste money either. Meeting for coffee and cake may be cheaper than buying dinner but meeting for a light lunch in a cafe or your local pub may be better value and probably much healthier for you too.

Remember walking does not cost you anything but your time. But, consider mutual interests that are meaningful and enjoyable to you both. Bike riding, swimming, taking a drive to the country are also great ways to spend time with the person you love.

In addition, save up for special occasions and go to a nice restaurant for a special treat. It doesn't have to be the most expensive restaurant but it must be something that will mark a special occasion. It will make the evening as unique and significant and your date will appreciate that.

Going on a date does not mean you must spend to make an impression.

A date is to share a moment that is meaningful, it is a time to get to know each other, and it is a time to enjoy and have fun.
