Everyone loves books. Books are the foundation of people which are the foundation of society, and history. Books are impossible to be replaced because once they are written they are set in stone and never changed again. An oral story can teach you things and provide happiness but you have to be told them, while books you can just pick up and enjoy and analyze it for yourself. Books are made for the entire world to read.

With all that being said, you can't always find a book at a library or a bookstore, nor does everyone have the time to search everywhere for a book. Thankfully, the Internet is there to save us. Millions of books have been put on the Internet for the world to read, but often times they are hard to find.

Here are some good on-line resources to find just the book you need:

1. http://onlinebooks.library.upenn.edu/. This is a free on-line database that connects you to almost every book that is available on-line. This site essentially acts like Google except specifically for e-books, and it will always connect you to trusted websites. I highly recommend this website before you search for a book anywhere else on the
Internet. You can search by author, title, subject and serial number. Did I mention it's free?

2. http://www.questia.com/Index.jsp. Another great database of books, except unfortunately you must pay for this service. This database provides magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, and journals for viewing. If you want all types of literature at your fingertips sign-up to this website and read until your eyes hurt.

3. http://www.gutenberg.org/catalog/
. Need books in over 50 languages? Well, this is the site to go to. If you're
struggling to find something to read, you'll be sure to find something in the top 100 list. This site is also free and is a great resource. I personally like to expand my Spanish by reading books in Spanish.

Those are three of the best sites on the Internet for all types of literature, not just books. Hopefully books are as important to you as they are to me. I'll
leave with a few things you can find only in books.

Only in books can your life change with the flip of a page. Only in books can the unknown be explained. Only in books can two different people learn things totally different from one another even if they are reading the same book. Only in books can you reread a book and discover something new or different then the first time. Only in books can people honor them and call them a classic' but never actually read them. Finally only books can become a subject of admiration but also of criminal investigation as well.
