He asks me what I'm thinking
As my heart sheds silent tears
I stare at him unblinking
Shocked and startled by my fears
I want just to express it
To cry, to think, to feel
All these years I've repressed it
Told myself it wasn't real.

Poetry: Asking others
You could have had a happy home
with a fireplace, kids, and
another,
ring or a watch but you chose to
question him by asking
How can I grow up big and smart
Children ask their mothers
Bide your tongue and learn the art
Of listening and asking others
How
He asks me what I'm thinking
As my heart sheds silent tears
I stare at him unblinking
Shocked and startled by my fears

I ask no questions
Other than my Mother
The birds the bees
Dept of the seas
Even the lifespan
