It's no secret that Brittany Spears has captivated us, and swung our emotions to each end of the spectrum throughout her career as we watched her begin to make decisions for herself and find her place in this world. Ultimately her choices would envelop her and place her future into chaos, turmoil, and the whispers of confused yet sometimes harsh public opinion pertaining to her life.

She first wowed us as she made her grand entrance at the tender age of 12 on the Mickey Mouse Club. We watched her grow up, and begin her struggle while blossoming into the gorgeous young woman that she would go on to become. As she emerged into adulthood, she again took our breath away when her appearance with Madonna left us gasping at the provocative kiss that swung the door of controversy wide open, leaving our mouths hanging in our laps!

We were all watching to see how her life would unfold once we heard about her tattered relationship with ex-hubby Kevin Federline. Our voices echoed out the question "What is she thinking" resonating among most every person, race, and cultural boundary. Its as if the world united and became one in their concern, for Brittany Spears all the while she continued deteriorating emotionally and fell prisoner to herself.

Stuck in the confines of her own heart, in love with a man who ultimately sacrificed her for his own place in life, she spiraled into an arena that looking back I can imagine that she would rather not have stepped into. She was broken, wounded, angry, emotional, and overwhelmed by how much her life was not her own. So she began to take the reigns of life in a brutal attempt at normalcy while still maintaining her reputation as a pop icon!

We watched her have two beautiful boys, struggle to make a marriage work that was probably destined to fail before it ever got started, and begin to have many major meltdowns that left her abandoned and filled with emotions that we can only pray we are never faced with in our lifetimes. Those who loved her began to fall away, she was becoming flaky and was doing poorly at parenting. She was making choices that could have harmed her babies, and there are those who became angry with her for holding a position in the public eye where her decisions and choices could influence countless young, developing girls and lives by her life's example. What was she thinking? Why didn't she consider the price that would have to be paid for her way of life and irresponsible choices? After all, no matter if you are famous
