There are scars deep inside me
From the chains that were there
Chains which still twist inside me;
Make me feel so scared.
They lay there attached
To balls of heavy lead
Which make my heart sink deep
And leave me for dead.
They twist grotesque patterns
In the skin of my heart
And from deep down inside me
They wrench me apart.
They lie in my stomach
They clank through my brain
And they don't stop their torture
When I can't bear the pain.
And sometimes I sit there
Alone, and I try
To stop the chains killing me
Deep down inside.
They feed off my sorrow,
My tears, and my sadness
And drive me right up
To the very brink of madness.
And I can't believe I'll
Ever be rid of these chains
Which twist, turn and torture me
Drive me insane.

Remove the pain of the Past,
Help him find victory that
