The effect of animals on human mood

Animals have a huge effect on helping humans feel good, relaxed, less stressed, and they are known for changing individual moods in a positive manner. Looking at and being with animals makes us feel happy. Whether it is watching them from afar in the wild, or owning our own pet, animals are a joy for the majority of people.

Having a pet has many benefits in our society today. Studies have shown that pets can lower a persons blood pressure, by simply playing with, or stroking your pet, you can keep a lower blood pressure than if you didn't own a pet. It has also been noted that people were more inclined to fight for survival after a serious accident if they owned a pet. Overall, having an animal around the house makes a persons mood change in so many ways.

Loneliness can be a very sad feeling for someone who is on their own, but a pet can fill the gap, giving the person a friendly companion to be with when they are down. A person who is depressed can be helped through animals, their mood can change when they have an animal that wants to depend on them, or just be loved by the person.

Emotions play a great part in the mood we are in, and it's been found that animals effect our mood in a good way. Children also have a change in mood when animals are present, they can become happier, and be more caring when involved with animals in a positive situation. Animals change our physical mood too, especially if you have a pet that needs exercise on a daily basis. Exercising with your pet can make you feel better mentally and physically too.

The fact that no matter how bad your feeling you can always rely on your animal to cheer you up, means that you are guaranteed to be on a high when you see your pet. Animals can be cute, funny, adorable, and energetic, this makes us feel good when we have them close to us. In conclusion, animals effect our mood in so many beneficial ways, being around animals just makes us happier overall. Animals are also a great health benefit to people, and they can be especially good companions for the elderly.

Research has shown that people have different moods when they are around animals, compared to those people who aren't around animals. The people that spent time with animals were in a good mood for longer than those who weren't. Although, animals aren't for everyone, they have been proven to have a positive and beneficial effect on our lives.
