Yes we can.
Energise the tired,
Motivate the complacent,
Inspire the cynical.
It can be done,
It will.
Inflate a balloon with hope,
Watch it float.
Lift our heads,
Stop scuffing our feet.
Hope is back.
Progress is possible.
Things can change.
We can all work together.
Yes we can.

The Single Rose
The morning dew that had settled on my petals
Was quickly disappearing
'Neath the sun
The other flowers 'round
A rickety boat a sailing went,
Found peace of mind in a sea hell bent,
Where none would venture this boat was sent,
Her name
There's a light on an ocean
from a window on the shore.
It escapes the human touch
and filters through the door
to a world unknown
