With the divorce rate at fifty percent in America, and with so many people skipping the altar of wedded bliss and living together for all eternity then why get married? Why do people get married at all, when they can live together and not have that legal certificate? Oh I don't know, just call me silly, but I for one got married to a guy I love. The main reason to get married is because you love someone and want to spend the rest of your life with them. I knew he would be a great provider, a terrific father because he loved kids so much , and I knew he would be a terrific husband. After all we had been together already for seven years, so it wasn't like I was stepping into an unknown world. I married my husband for love, as many other people still do, in today's world.
That's the number one reason for getting married, but lets get to the nitty gritty, what are some other reasons for getting married? Here are TEN reasons to get married besides love:
1. You get married because you feel guilty. You feel guilty that you have been having relationships behind your main girlfriend or boyfriend and you marry the main person in your life. You feel guilty because you have been dating or living with the same person for a long time and that person gives you the ultimatum to get married or get out.
2. You marry someone for money. This is possibly the number two reason or is that the number one reason for getting married. Girls chase rock stars and actors because they think that having money will create a wonderful life for them and they won't have to work a regualr job, leading them out of a boring, difficult existence. Women marry older men because he has already struggled with his first wife to make a lot of money.
3. Power. Many people marry each other only to gain power. We see this happen all the time. So many people are more in love with a powerful life of having people treat them like royalty due to their "power status". You will see the husband or the wife or both have many affairs, and secret dalliances, only to stay with their spouses because they love the power the spouse holds in his or her palm.
4. Women marry older men because they have that daddy complex going on. Young girls latch onto a guy because he is older than they are, and they need a Dad figure in their lives. They want someone to take care of them. Guys love this because they are in a relationship with a good looking woman that is younger than they are, and they can act a lot younger than they really
