Winters Mask
A world of color fades to gray, Colder tempretures and shadows that stay.
A snowglobe in my head turned upside down, a wintery blanket from sky to ground.
The barest branches glisten white, with the rocks that line the path at night.
See the chimneys billowing smoke, mask the darkness with it's cloak.
Wintery embers on the breeze, The flurys scatter from the trees.
With the beauty behind smiling eyes, something saddened deep inside

A Solitary figure,
With a Solitary Soul,
Stands Breathless and Weary against the cool, dark night,
Around
The alarm sounds
Metalic, gelid and aloof
The sentry awakens
Although his weary bones revolt
He trudges on
Throught the incmbency
From as far back in my life I can recall,
being the one who was not easily led or
unmoved.
One day I sat in a swing in which
There was a cardboard box
At my door
Dropped off by the local bums
I opened the door
And saw this taut wrapped specimen
Opened
