The debate behind banning plastic bags

When I was just a young girl, people were concerned about the fact that all the forests were being used up for paper items. Animals were losing their homes. People needed to find an answer to the problems that were taking place back then. The one thing that they failed to do was to look at what the answer they picked would do to those alive during the future years.

What would the answer affect and how would it affect people and animals in the future. The answer that they selected was only what could affect the here and now questions.

Many people from all over the world try to come to America to live. Yet, we are so far behind when it comes to protecting our country and our grandchildren's children. Maybe we should not care about those issues because it does not affect us now and we will not be around to see the effects. That is a poor excuse for neglect to always not think about what we do today and how it will affect others in the future.

Other countries have posted a ban on plastic bags. In fact, China's largest plastic bag company has shut down over the fact that China and many other countries have posted a ban on the use of plastic bags. Not to mention the fact that posting a ban on the production or use of plastic bags would also affect the street drugs that will get sold in those bags or baggies. Yes, even one country thought about that.

Other countries have went as far as making the companies that use plastic of any type to have a way to dispose of those containers. They placed that responsibility upon the Manufacturer. Personally, I see no reason that we should not consider this option also.

When you think about how the companies spend many dollars hiring scientists to make their products have a vision or aroma that makes the human senses of sight and smell draw us in to purchase the item. Then the fact that our human minds are affected by the simple fact of color and smell, that makes the product more appealing, yet it is not different than any other products of that same nature. A prime example is McDonald's Hamburgers and French Fries. The Company has hired a Scientist to make their hamburgers and fries more appealing through the sight and aroma. If they would just understand that people enjoy hamburgers and french fries equally but would much rather purchase these items from a company that is spending their money not to put things into our meat to get us to purchase the Hamburgers but rather to help with the Environment. I do not enjoy knowing that companies are noted for deceiving us. In fact, I become very upset over it. It is a waste of money when they can use that money to help find ways to purchase the oils so that the containers will not fill up our dump sites, or plastic bags that french fries are purchased from the company in.

The problem is not McDonald's and I do believe that I could pick their competitor and learn the same thing about them. The problem goes much deeper. We need to go all the way back to the beginning. Start out with the seeds that get planted. Be sure make the companies that sell the seeds that grow the potatoes are not in plastic containers. Then on to the meat department and Check into how the feed to the livestock is sold. Those bags have turned to plastic. We used to have Burlap bags that held grain.

If we turn this problem upon each company to spend their money on ways to locate better means of containers for their products or locate ways to dispose properly of the containers, then our country will soon solve this problem.

Do not take my word for what I have said, rather do your own research and you will be surprised greatly. Check also into the way other countries are handling this situation.
