Barack Obama: Should political views be more important than color

nation be turned around? Yes, but unless the above reasons for hard times are removed, we are destined for much of the same. Traditional marriage, halting abortions, and not allowing "personal rights" to have priority over what is "right," all have to be demanded. God belongs in this country, and has blessed us over and over. Godly people are not the enemy, immorality and pride and greed are.

This new President said "So help me God." at the end of his oath. In his speech he mentioned God as if He is real and significant. It is not about race, skin color, or even religion, but if any of those will make a difference, the God he addressed will. God does not see color. Obama is my new President, and yours. As we support him and lift him to the throne of grace, he will be led in a direction that will favor this country, if he chooses to follow that leading. The same would be true of any president of any color.

This man has a heavy weight on him now, and he needs us to hold him up and support him. We may not like some of his decisions, and we need not support all of them. We must not allow our disagreement cause us to be his enemy. We must stand for what we believe, but also recognize that we will not have everything our way. We don't have to support every decision, but we must move on and get over it. We might need to seek out ways to alter a decision or convince him to do so, but he needs for us to be his support for he has a lot on his shoulders now. What color is his blood? Just like mine and yours. Real sacrifice will always lead to the shedding of something we all have in common, our blood.
